The Anti-George W. Bush sentiment in our country is getting stronger.

Never has there been a more corrupt government in power in recent history and even Richard Nixon pales in comparison. Lying about a war is by far more grave than the Monica Lewinsky scandal. The Republican Congress spent $60 million investigating President Clinton in this matter; they have grudgingly authorized a mere fraction of that to investigate the Enron collapse, the largest corporate malfeasance in American history which left thousands of people unemployed and bereft of life savings. Overseeing this corporate swindle was Kenneth Lay, a lifelong supporter and friend of George W. Bush. During the contested Florida presidential election, Lay put the corporation's private jets at the Bush team's disposal to fly lawyers to steal the 2000 election. Time to flush!

That corrupt cronyism is evident in the Bush Administrations cozy relationships with Halliburton and Bechtel. Halliburton, which has fattened the pockets of the Vice-President Dick Cheney with tens of million of dollars, has been rewarded with billions of dollars in government contracts that were not even put out to bid in the so-called reconstruction of Iraq. Halliburton has been accused of overcharging the government millions of dollars in its war profiteering and it is still falling under the protection of the Bush administration. Time to flush!

That is just one aspect of the larger and exceedingly reckless Bush administration policy toward Iraq which has so far resulted in the deaths of over 1000 American soldiers and the wounding of thousands more, not to mention the thousands of Iraqi dead and wounded, many of them innocent women and children. Many former Bush administration officials, from Secretary of Treasury Paul O'Neill to counter-terrorism expert Richard Clark, have expressed Bush's obsession with Iraq and Saddam Hussein, long before 9/11 gave him an excuse for an invasion of a sovereign country in direct contravention of all civilized international law. Time to flush!

Which ever way one sees the Iraq war, as justified or not, the Bush administration has been stunningly maladroit in alienating its allies and squandering the immense good will of the world in the aftermath of the World Trade Center attacks. Horrified by a "cowboy diplomacy" that stupidly has confused Hollywood tough guy lines with real world complexities, millions of people around the world protested the Bush administration's build up to the Iraq war. Worse, the Bush administration with its bluntly arrogant and lunatic policies has seriously endangered the rule of its Middle East allies, Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and King Hussein of Jordan. It's ham-handed approach to Israel and Saudi Arabia has further inflamed tensions in the region. Indeed, in numerous polls throughout the Middle East, George Bush has a n approval rating below ten percent while Osama Bin Laden enjoys high favorable ratings. It's Time to flush!

The results of George Bush's unilateral "go-it-alone" foreign policy has shunted aside the United Nations, pulled out of international treaties with impunity and acted with utter hypocrisy in supporting unfair trade policies at its whim. Now that he has made a mess of Iraq, with is "Bring 'em on!" taunting of the insurgency and his premature declaration of the end of hostilities, he has turned back to the United Nations to get him out of a jam of his own making. Nonetheless more hawkish elements in his administration are still supporting Ahmed Chalabi, the Iraqi exile with no popular support in Iraq because he is corrupt and considered an American puppet. They have siphoned millions of dollars to his exile organization, reputedly to provide intelligence to the coalition, but who has been largely responsible for providing the dubious, now discredited, proof that Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction, the reason for the invasion in the first place. Time to flush!

The Bush Administration's ruthlessness and deception are no less applied in their approach to domestic issues. The Medicare reform bill, which Bush touts as the centerpiece of his domestic agenda, was narrowly passed in the Congress under false estimates of its cost. A cost that was in direct contravention of U.S. law kept from congressional committees at the insistence of the Administration itself. A bureaucrat in fact was threatened with firing if he divulged the facts as he is required to do by law. Only after the bill was passed was the cost amended by hundreds of billions of dollars. Time to flush!

Bush's economic policy, likewise, has taken a huge surplus and turned it into the largest deficit in U.S. history by rewarding his richest donors with tax breaks worth millions of dollars while spending freely on weapons programs. The only thing that he has cut back on is the childrens' programs that he touted, running as a "compasssionate conservative." We now realize that means compassion for corporations while he bashes welfare extended to the country's poorest (largely single minority women with children). Bush has presided over the largest corporate giveaway ever. His cozy relationship with the energy industry has been so blatant that the Supreme Court is currently hearing arguments about whether the secret energy meetings organized by Dick Cheney should be made public. At the same time, he has allowed the protections of the Clean Air Act, enacted by his own father, to be whittled away to nothing. His lies about protecting the environment has been so egregious that a group of several Nobel prize-winning scientists submitted a letter of protest that the administration's use of data was shockingly self-serving, intentionally myopic, and, in many cases, bald lies. Time to flush!

Bush ran for office in 2000 promising "to restore integrity to the White House." He has instead sullied the office more than any other president in recent times since Richard Nixon. He and his administration has threatened, lied and bullied to get their way. They have erected roadblocks every time there has been an effort to seek out information and the truth, fighting the 9/11 Commission until the families of victims shamed them into acquiescence; blocking the revelation of those who met with Dick Cheney on his energy commission; conducting smear campaigns against anyone who would offer the slightest criticism, and catering to its fundamentalist right-wing base by trying to institutionalize discrimination in the Constitution with an amendment to bar gay marriages. Time to flush!

Now Bush is engaged in a desperate bid for re-election. Knowing that he cannot win on the merits or the issues, he has engaged in dirty campaign tactics and total disregard for the truth. He and his minions have dared to besmirch the war record of John Kerry, including his courageous conduct under fire—this from a dilettante air man who can not prove that he even showed up for duty in the "champagne division" of the national guard. Time to flush!

If you are sick of being lied to, pull the lever.

If you are angry about the stolen Florida election, pull the lever.

If you are disgusted with smear campaign tactics, pull the lever.

If you think it's time to end corporate bribery, pull the lever.

If you want to disappoint Karl Rove, Jerry Falwell and their hypocritical sanctimony, pull the lever.

If you want decent health care that is not held hostage to rich lobbyists, pull the lever.

If you love your country, pull the lever.….

And that giant sucking sound you hear, will be music to democratic, freedom -loving ears everywhere!
